Thank you for thinking of TLC to publish your work and/or pitches. I aim to reply to all submissions within two weeks, but please bear with me if backlog prevents me from doing so.

To submit your work and/or pitches, please email theladiescompartment@gmail.com with the subject line ‘ATTN: Avantika Mehta, pitch for <insert the TLC section for which you want to write, photograph, and/or draw.)
I pay Rs 800 for stories.
Submission Guidelines:
All submissions must be sent in .doc files;
As a house style, TLC uses Oxford English. Please structure your work in the same manner;
Kindly justify your text if using a word document;
For features, O accept pieces between 400 – 1200 words.
For pitches, please provide a word limit and detailed plan including a proposed deadline;
After pitches are accepted, please DO NOT send your submission in a .PDF format, or a google drive link. Use a word doc. Do not include images in the word doc, but send them separately along with captions.
TLC does not accept unsolicited poetry submissions.

TLC is currently looking for an artist-in-residence. The job will consist of making 10 illustrations a month, including Feminist Friday posts and Today in Development posts. The stipend is Rs 5000/month.
I prefer to work with women, however gender is no bar to apply.
